What stories do I have?
I believe that life is a build up and layering of experiences, memories, ideas and much more. These feelings and moments compress into who we are and how we interact and layer with each other. My work looks at the connections between materials, as well as their connection to the viewer and the form in general. Many of the forms I work with have topographical and geological references, as well as historical context. Sculpture can act as a mapping for my memories and experiences, and asks the question- what causes all of these materials, moments, and shapes to come together and why is that important? What stories do these individual layers have? What stories do I have?
