tattoo blocks

The tattoo blocks have been an exploration in the subjects and styles of american traditional tattooing with a twist. All blocks are hand-painted in the round and many have functional purposes such as flower holders, bookends, drawer pulls, and more. The series, like the rest of the "studio scraps project" is all done on found or collected wood.
